Young Worker Leaders gather at LOHP office at UC Berkeley to share project ideas and updates

July 8th 2010 marked the first reunion for our U.C. Berkeley Young Worker Leadership Academy. Four of the six teams from the academy in January attended the day long conference to share the projects they completed. The projects included class and community presentations, developing and distributing factsheets on young worker rights and responsibilities, and an informational video sharing one injured teen’s story.  The teams reunited with their friends from YWLA to discuss their finished projects, including the difficulties they faced during the four month period. The group discussions allowed the teams to reflect on their projects and take pride in everything they accomplished making the reunion a definite success.
