Laura Stock is the Acting Director of the Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP) at UC Berkeley.  She has a Masters in Public Health from the School of Public Health, University of California at Berkeley and has been working in the field of education and training for over 25 years. 

Since being at LOHP she has developed and delivered training programs and educational materials on a range of occupational health issues including identifying and controlling hazards, ergonomics, workers compensation, and setting up effective health and safety committees.  In addition, she has provided technical assistance and consultation to workers, unions, joint labor/management committees, state and national policymakers and others on how to set up comprehensive health and safety programs. 

Ms. Stock currently coordinates a 5 year NIOSH- funded participatory research project examining health and safety issues facing homecare workers, is the Training Coordinator for the Worker Occupational Safety and Health Training and Education Program (WOSHTEP) funded by the State Commission on Health and Safety and Workers' Compensation, and is a member of NIOSH’s NORA Healthcare and Social Assistance Sector Council.
