This LOHP guidebook can help labor and management deal with the
threat of assault, robbery, and other violent acts at work. Violence
may be a hazard to almost any occupation—taxi and delivery
drivers, security guards, healthcare and social service workers,
teachers, retail clerks, and many others.
The
guidebook includes a detailed discussion of the problem and suggestions
for prevention. It also has checklists, surveys, and other useful
resources. With these tools, unions and employers can inspect the
worksite for security hazards, select and implement prevention measures,
and develop a complete violence prevention program.
