LOHP's
Environmental Justice Project links the workplace and community.
We
collaborate with environmental justice organizations to help
local communities and activists address environmental problems.
Partnerships include work with the Southwest Network for Economic
and Environmental Justice, the Indigenous Environmental Network,
and the Asian Pacific Environmental Network.
These
projects assist local communities that have been disproportionately
affected by hazardous waste, air and water pollution, and toxic
chemicals.
For
the past several years, LOHP has also provided technical assistance
to the Just Transition Alliance curriculum team. The Alliance trains
workers and community residents impacted by facilities which pollute
or produce hazardous waste.
